So, the Creator of this vast and complex universe has already set in motion a plan for all aspects of human existence and development, it’s called the ‘Wheel of Evolution’ or, Cause and Effect. That, it’s through this Wheel — set spinning since the beginning of time for each of us — lies our means of transcending human evolution unto even higher states of Self-Realizations. The Creator has set in motion a perfect dynamic: a miraculous structure within the human physiology through which we may each transcend cause and effect now thereby realize Creator Standard, realize our true unending Self, thus setting the individual soul free from the bondage of material entanglement, illusory time and the perpetual cycle of physical birth and rebirth.
In the absence of activating or triggering this Creator-bestowed means, many, through ignorance of this inner arrangement, squander their precious inheritance, their gift of experiencing Divine Standard, experiencing eternal bliss consciousness now. Instead, many relinquish this potential of spiritual advancement to non-experiential soundbites, to outer imposed paradigms and non-soul-serving mind-sets. To a myriad of man-made belief systems manifested through ‘ready-to-go’, error-nuanced subconscious thought patterns or mental grooves – thought tracks that have formed through miss-use of mind and wrong thinking.
So, first off, what is a thought?
A thought is an interpretation, an evaluation of perceptual activity within consciousness, which perception is influenced by expectation based on indoctrinated or self-created belief systems, including past life conditioning. Thought emerges through the central nervous system, which consists primarily of the brain and spinal column. More on this further on.
Given that ‘Reality’ is absolute, never-changing, while perceptive thought is ‘relative’ and ever-changing, we begin seeing the importance of transcendence unto absolute status, when reorientation of the nervous system takes place. Nervous system reorientation is paramount to transcending thought thereby achieving God-consciousness as direct perception. Achieving this status within consciousness becomes the soul’s single purpose here on earth.
So, as we’re each born with some levels of subconscious reactive thought patterns, realignment of what we’re thinking, perceiving and deciding through becomes the number one priority.
In transforming subconscious thought patterns naturally, the conscious mind needs to be led deep within: drawn to the source of thought then transcend this source. In other words, intellect must be led to the threshold point, the neutral point which separates time and no-time, relative and absolute, the transcended point unto pure consciousness.
How one gets to this ‘neutral point’ is set out further on. But first some crucial understanding on the causation forces within the evolution wheel which led to thought-error ways. Thus we will see how transcendence is key to gaining direct perception of God-nature by means of raising one’s standard of consciousness, from human to cosmic- consciousness.
Evolution and the Three Gunas of Nature
The three gunas are the tangible forces propelling the wheel of evolution, the innumerable laws of Mother Nature governing this entire relative existence including humans. The gunas are the three principals managing the creation, maintenance and dissolution of the universe: the modes operandi responsible for the life, well-being and renewal of every cell, every single material thing in the relative field of existence individually referred to as Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. The word ‘guna’ means quality or character.
While the gunas come under the umbrella title of A-U-M in written format, transcending their nature is practiced as vibrational OM. And while the gunas are responsible for the entire relative phase of life, conversely, our eternal soul is not associated with the gunas. The soul in its eternal essence remains non-compromised by the ever-changing three gunas. But, that, initially, while living through ignorance of the soul’s core essence of eternal Bliss – causal by design in order that soul may become conscious of its unbounded nature — the gunas act as the blocking means of soul experiencing its own transcendent nature.
So, this whole physical universe, including our physical bodies, function under law through the activity of the innumerable permutations of these three ever-present principals – Sattva, Rajas and Tamas or, A-U-M.
Acting as the ever-changing laws of evolution, the gunas are the appointed agency for establishing order and balance within the entire physical universe, but, that, the Transcendent Absolute remains ever independent and never-changing. The gunas represent time, space and causation — changing existence, while the Transcendent remains eternally Indestructible — Pure Consciousness.
So, in the context of the entire creation and pure consciousness, the big bang was more an explosion of point-silence within the Creator: an explosive silence beyond practical measuring scales, which, in general comparative terms, is estimated to be millions of times greater than nuclear power, a potential enormity beyond human comprehension, needless to say.
Inner Transformation
The birth of our individual spiritual development may be seen through analogy of the caterpillar larvae undergoing metamorphism (Greek word meaning transformation) into a butterfly. After consuming as much vegetation it can, the caterpillar’s nervous system then spins a cocoon around it’s physicality. Later, through an enzyme release, the caterpillar consumes itself triggering a higher vibration into opening the chrysalis, thereby liberation to higher butterfly status.
Similarly, humans spin an ego-web of spiritual ignorance, an illusory personality, a prison fortified by lower sensory activity, but which level of consciousness, similar to caterpillar metamorphosis, must be transcended by means of the nervous system: lower intellect must transcend its ego-larvae, its cocoon of spiritual ignorance, thereby gain liberation unto cosmic awareness, a prism of mind /heart, or, nervous system, through which pure consciousness may reflect divine status.
So, as the three gunas are the source of one’s conditioned ego-cocoon, thus our every thought, word, deed and lower emotion are inviting either suffering or happiness, love, hate or resentment, in proportion to the purity status of the nervous system. In other words, the nervous system reflects the nature of the ego cocoon. Thus the gunas manifest the nature of one’s emotionalized mind-sets: outer reality reflecting in accordance with our inner status. Therefore, prior to direct experience of the absolute or pure consciousness, mind cannot comprehend the difference between right and wrong thought force, which difference can only be known by transcending the gunas — transcending time, space and causation.
As the laws of nature cannot be changed or altered, it becomes obvious that it’s the mind which needs to become transformed, brought into harmony with the innumerable laws operating within the mind and, by extension, the physiology and nervous system. Thus conscious and personal subconscious mind – which essentially are the same mind temporally divided — need to function as a single mind, single awareness, when the immensity of the inner laws, the gunas, begin working in our favor without our having to know the laws individually which is impossible. To this outcome, of conscious and subconscious becoming unified, transcendence of the gunas in meditation is our means.
Freeing Mind from the Thought Cocoon
So, while the source-power of the ‘big bang’ lies beyond the comprehension range of the human mind, it is through this same human mind becoming aware of its transcendental status that the nervous system becomes capable of reflecting Source-consciousness within. At this point we can intuit the big bang as the expansion of quantum Cause, or, the big as awakening of eternal silence within the nervous system. So, in the context of the big bang being an outward exploding dynamic from a single point, it’s not too difficult to intuit, that, in order to arrive back at source of big bang, the mind /intellect and nervous system must undergo transformation, convergence or refinement, a metamorphosis of awareness leading back to Point, back to Source of creation, thus reunification unto Creator Wholeness.
Prior to transformation unto spiritual discernment, the lower-ego operates through a form of ‘scattered’ intellect, a choice-less awareness producing further subconscious content. Resurfacing automatically, these fake-reality thought patterns are which the intellect decides through and remain until the dynamic behind the mental loop is interrupted by expansion of consciousness.
To this outcome — of consciousness expansion – Creator Source has provided the necessary means through which the lower intellect may achieve convergence resulting in one-pointedness. In other words: when intellect – via vibrational OM — is drawn back to its smallest and most refined point, contact with Source of creation is achieved, when big bang is realized as one’s Aware point of consciousness opening unto infinity.
So, journeying unto source of creation commences with intellect undergoing refinement by hearing the vibrational sound of OM within. Thus the mantra is not simply a word, but a universal resonance. A frequency with ability of creating higher vibrational waves through which to stir the deeper regions of mind — our personal universe – unto facilitating transcendence and direct experience of pure consciousness. Additionally, OM vibration is the triggering mechanism which activates the base of spine Chakra into releasing the universal life force known as kundalini Shakti. Inner hearing the OM frequency, at its subtlest level, hones the thinking mind to its narrowest point of perception, when convergent point explodes into bliss-silence resulting in transformation of consciousness. Put another way, OM vibration traverses from gross to subtle to eventually arrive at Neutral Point when mind transcends the source of thought, the three gunas.
This is how the born-into intellect rises above its primal chaos to resolute standard, to a level of brain /nervous system coherence not previously known: mental function under conscious direction rather than irresolute, sporadic thought.
Culturing the Nervous system into withstanding Bliss-Consciousness
The human nervous system — being the conduit through which human awareness reaches its highest point of evolution on earth — is the most advanced system in the known universe. The nervous system is both a reflective and transforming dynamic consisting of the brain, spinal column, connecting vertebrae and the seven chakras running along the spine culminating in the brain which itself consists of billions of neural transmitters.
The central nervous system is the physiological means or structure enabling direct experience of higher states of consciousness culminating in Samadhi, Bliss or Unity consciousness, the highest point of human evolution.
As point and infinity both contain the memory of each other, regular experience of converged intellect within the nervous system thus allowing it withstand pure bliss-consciousness. In other words, cognitive convergence becomes the means of experiencing stillness and peace in our daily lives.
At practical level, it’s through the 5th hearth chakra that bliss-consciousness reflects as unconditional love, with the crown chakra the venue of Transcendence, Samadhi. Thus purity of the nervous system determines flow of experiential happiness and creative thought force – and is why so many practice meditation and Yoga. By purity is meant, capacity of nervous system /physiology in withstanding stillness brought about by centred intellect becoming familiar with pure silence.
And, of course, we don’t give our-self Transcendence, Samadhi or Bliss, rather it’s come upon through dedicated practice.
Importance of Deepening Meditation
Meditation is a repetitive practice. And while meditation is all about pausing and returning to our chosen mantra after each mind drift into specific thoughts, the primary purpose of meditation is brain entrainment – aligning the brain /nervous system to function orderly, from deeper levels of perceptive intelligence. Thus pausing for about 2/3 seconds before each restart encourages cosmic brain oscillation or vibration. It creates a new wave pattern within human’s initial animalistic instincts into spiritual /cosmic status – think Caterpillar/Butterfly metamorphism.
Mind wondering in meditation, particularly for beginners, is normal – the untrained senses wander solely in search of fleeting pleasure – but advancement in meditation is in realizing that mind has drifted off mantra, then pausing in silence before resuming the mantra. The process further lowers the respiratory system to experiencing the almost breathless state. Constantly returning and pausing creates a gap between the ‘seeking’ anything thoughts, when each new pause-gap is from a deeper, purer level. But, more vitally, the meditational process equips the nervous system with a new functioning ability, that of knowing two states of consciousness simultaneously – the absolute and relative, or, heaven on earth.
At this stage, Divine presence is experienced within consciousness as separate from activity, separate from the three gunas — an ability not present at birth. In other words, as point and infinity are One in meditation, so too, post meditation, is ‘I’ awareness realized as God or, Creator status.
In this context, the more acclimatized the nervous system is in withstanding transcendental Bliss, the sooner human ‘I’ transforms permanently into witnessing ‘I’-Am as the experiential afterlife, the eternal Now status of never-changing Transcendent ‘I’.
How Glorious is that!
